Yes — and it requires a completely different approach than a standard OC move. The streets inside and adjacent to Los Rios are too narrow for a standard 26-foot moving truck; many are effectively single-lane with no safe staging shoulder. We use a 16-foot shuttle truck for Los Rios moves, running loads to a full-size truck staged on a wider street nearby. Historic adobe and original wood-frame homes in the district often have doorways as narrow as 28 inches and uneven interior floor transitions — we assess clearances before wrapping anything large and disassemble furniture in-place when needed.

Yes — Stoneridge Estates is one of our regular SJC move locations. The community requires guard-gate advance notice, truck plate registration, and a Certificate of Insurance addressed to the Stoneridge HOA before a moving truck is allowed entry. We file all documentation before your move date. Rancho San Juan hillside access is assessed separately — steeper driveways in the canyon-view lots may require truck staging at the flat section with a partial hand-carry.

Pre-1950 homes throughout San Juan Capistrano — especially in and around the historic district — were built before modern furniture dimensions and moving equipment existed. Original doorways of 28–30 inches, low header clearance between rooms, and adobe wall construction that can't be touched with furniture legs are standard variables we plan for. Our approach: measure before wrapping, disassemble in-place rather than trying to maneuver assembled pieces, pad all door frames and wall corners before any carry, and never force a piece through a tight passage. We'd rather spend 20 extra minutes disassembling than damage a 150-year-old doorframe.

Yes — avoid booking a downtown SJC move for the Swallows Day Parade weekend in mid-March. The city shuts down Camino Capistrano and surrounding streets for the parade, blocking truck access throughout the historic core and much of the downtown commercial district. If you're moving from a home near the mission or downtown corridor during that period, you'll need to either shift your date or plan for significantly extended staging workarounds. For everything outside downtown, the weekend is less impacted — call us and we'll assess your specific address.

2–3 weeks for most SJC moves; 3–4 weeks for Stoneridge Estates (gate documentation lead time) and Los Rios Historic District (shuttle logistics require additional pre-survey). Avoid the Swallows Day Parade weekend in mid-March for anything near downtown. Summer (June–August) fills fastest for family moves near Forster Ranch schools. For Ortega Highway (Hwy 74) moves heading inland toward Lake Elsinore or Murrieta, call early — that route has limited large-truck service from other companies, and we often have earlier availability than you'd expect.
